Default Newbie in need of Build

I just happened to have gotten this game [Guild Wars] yesterday as a gift from my friend. Right now, I'm lovin' it and I have gotten my Warrior to level 6, nearly level 7. I am somewhat confused as to what I should do for a build though.

Does anyone know what I should take as my second profession, as a newbie? Or how I should play with said profession in terms of min/maxing skill points?

LOL...Welcome to the world of the Warrior!

If you're not sure about your second profession, I'd 1st suggest going to guildwiki.org (I think there's a link on this website to there), and reading about the professions first--see which one may interest you as a second profession. See what profession may interest you, and use that as a secondary profession. In Prophecies, the talk was for people new to the game who wanted to play warriors was to be a W/Mo (Warrior/Monk, or "Wammo"). This allowed them to get adjusted to the game while having the ability to "heal" themselves. Unfortunately, if you read some threads here, "Wammos" get quite a bit of undeserved grief, because almost everyone started playing that combination, and a lot of people play it not too well (I apologize to all the good W/Mo's who do).
See what profession may interest you, and try it out. Don't necessarily listen to what the majority of people will TELL you to play; after all, it's yoyu playing it!
Good luck, and keep having fun!

I tried the 'Wammo' thing. Monk really does well in complementing Warrior. I enjoy this! I hope I can play better in a few days so I can beat the Ascalon thing.

Oh, yeah... one more thing. Is there anyone in a guild who wants to recruit a newbie like me?
